Firecat Studio supports Camps and other gatherings of the energetic, fun San Antonio community. TweetCamp organizer Colleen Pence interviewed Firecat CEO Susan Price about why she supports TweetCamp, how she uses Twitter on behalf of Firecat Studio, and more.
About the Camp Unconference Format
Camps are a new type of conference where the participants decide what to talk about the day of the event. There are BarCamps that take place across the street from “real” conferences such as TED and SxSW. San Antonio boasts a robust Camp track record. We’ve had:
- BarCamp
- AccessCamp
- FreelanceCamp
- GreenCamp
Anything people are interested in can become a Camp. To find out more about the camp movement, visit barcamp.org.
First-timer? Try It, It’s Great!
Camps are fun and completely unintimidating. You get a t-shirt and a bunch of new friends, just for showing up. If you’d like to set your expectations, search Flickr for San Antonio BarCamp, or TweetCamp, or AccessCamp, or GreenCamp or AccessCamp… you get the idea. Or visit this What to Expect at a BarCamp page on BarCamp.org.
Twitter Elite? Here’s our Hashtag
@tweetcampsa and @colleenpence and @andinarvaez say our hashtag is #tweetcampsa — and if you don’t know what a HashTag is, come find out!
Don’t forget to sign up on the EventBrite site — and we’ll see you there!
