Firecat Tom Vaughn was hired to head up a global strategy effort to improve social media and digital practices. He led an effort to streamline social content management with proper brand oversight processes across four business units and 19 countries.
A seasoned UXer and product strategist, Tom’s also extremely numbers- and results-driven. His strategy leveraged user-generated content — and required significant coordination and alignment across product groups including Windows, Office, Developer Marketing, Small and Medium Business and global Microsoft subsidiaries.
The proof is in the pudding: the projects achieved 23% higher click-through on key brand websites, and targeted acquisition rates for those product groups increased by 12%–17%.
