Focus Your UX Research

October 5, 2021

About the Session

It’s hard enough to get time and budget for user research! Make sure the activities answer key questions and drive key business outcomes.

UX researchers ignore — at our peril — the critical step of discovering the goals behind our stakeholders’ questions. We may test the wrong thing, do the wrong tasks, or ask the wrong questions. We may miss what we really need to learn!

Don’t set your stakeholders or yourself up for frustration! Taking the time to discover your stakeholders’ true goals will help you avoid these problems.

Laura Faulkner shares a user research framework of guides and guardrails that deliver the answers needed most — increasing the odds that you’ll get it right the first time.
