Design Thinking isn’t just for designers. Everyone can benefit from a designer’s approach to creating situations, systems, processes – and relationships – that optimize our lives.
Brownbag Lunch Fri., Nov 4: Design Thinking
Bev Ingle of Resilient by Design will present “Design Thinking Demystified” at Firecat Studio’s monthly coworking & brownbag session on Friday, November 4, 2011.
What Is Design Thinking?
It?s the end of the world as we know it: this is the era of the Democratization of Design. Once thought of as the sole domain of those clever minds that could produce compelling visuals or highly desired products, Design has evolved. Emphasis is on the process rather than the end product, and because of that shift in focus, the C-Suite and VCs have taken notice.
If you are thinking, “I?m not a designer,? think again. From business strategies to applications, user and customer experiences to economic models, if you create it, you also design it. It’s up to you whether there?s meaning and purpose behind your designs.
This interactive workshop puts the concept of Design Thinking into action. Through hands-on activities you?ll get concrete skills to reframe how you work so you can look at your next project or challenge through the lens of Design. This action-packed session will change your perspective. Trust Bev; she’s designed it that way.
