Firecat First Friday, August 7, 2026: The Beehive

We got together in real life to get unstuck on a challenge or goal that feels too big, or too ambitious. Members of the community completed a challenge card, then other participants (the hive) responded with ideas,  connections/contacts, provocative questions and reframes, and actionable next steps.

Each participant left with a “challenge poster” with their challenge card and sticky notes from the group.

It was very interesting — thank you to Jennifer Navarrete for the idea of the format. We’re making it into one of the workshops Firecat offers.

This Firecat First Friday, we’re going in-person for a Beehive session. You bring one real challenge — the closer to your true purpose, the better. A small group of sharp, generous strangers goes to work on it and hands you back ideas and concrete next steps. Fresh eyes. No history. Just momentum.

Come ready to think out loud, give generously to others, and leave with a way forward.

Who should attend:

You’re self-motivated, optimistic, and a lifelong learner. You have a business challenge, a passion project, or a dream you haven’t been able to crack. You may be feeling isolated or stuck — but you haven’t given up. This free workshop is for you.

Jennifer Navarrete is an award-winning community organizer, podcasting pioneer, and founder of National Podcast Post Month (NaPodPoMo), the annual movement she launched in 2007 that has inspired podcasters worldwide. She organizes Texas PodCon and leads Brewing Media, where she produces podcasts, live video, and virtual events and coaches others to tell their stories powerfully.

Susan Price is founder and CEO of Firecat Studio, digital strategy  and design agency. She has been building websites since 199, brought digital accessibility training to San Antonio in 1998, and builds communities where people co-create a better world.
