What's a PodCamp?
Texas Social Media award winner Jennifer Navarrete (aka epodcaster) catalyzed the San Antonio Social Media scene with the first PodCamp more than 4 years ago. Following the BarCamp model of unconferences, the agenda is not set until the morning of the conference -- by the attendees. There is no admission cost, though donations and select sponsorships are allowed.
Writeboards are provided for attendees to suggest and preside over conversations they want to have over a wide range of topics interesting to anyone charged with or interested in social media, online marketing, website design and development, and yes - podcasting.
Some of the areas most successful podcasters will be on hand sharing secrets, tips and their take on industry trends. Podcasts are marketing primarily through social media, so there's a strong tie and lots of content around social media marketing, event promotion and building community.
